Oil Painting “The storm to the south” by John Gregg. It may be done.
I worked on the storm to the south. I think the gives the storm more movement.
“Storm to the south” I loved the storm that came up from the south I had to photograph it. The foreground is from my photos from Canyon Lands. Oil painting on a 24″ x 36″ stretched canvas.
“Fallen Tree” I started this painting before the Mesquite fell . I was using a sky I photographed from a Spring Mountain Ranch outdoor theater. The painting had nice fluffy clouds blowing across the sky. The dog just told me it’s time for dinner snack. The painting is not done yet. I’m using my photograph from a Grand Canyon sunset and putting in a Cedar from Canyon Lands. Change is a part of life
The clouds started out nice and fluffy drifting past. The tree isn’t there yet
“Canyon Lands with Cedar Tree” It’s all most done just needs a little shading.
“The other campsite” start to finish. Plein Air oil painting at McWilliams Campground Mount Charleston, NV 8-4-2018
Sunset at Refugio Beach the shadows where growing fast then the the sky lite up.
Sunset at the Grand Canyon the photo was taken summer of 2017. The clouds have movement and color. Very happy with how they are turning out.
I’m going to let Wednesday’s Storm dry then sign it.
